On Friday, 6 July 2007, the first out of 4 GTG (Gas Turbine Generator) units has been installed at the Yemen LNG plant in Balhaf. The GTG is used to generate power for the plant during operation.


Each GTG unit is installed in two parts; a turbine weighting 93 tons installed on the 5th of July, and an 85 tons generator. The installation of the GTG is on target.
