“This is the heart of the LNG process”, stated Joel Fort, Yemen LNG General Manager, commenting on the installation process of the APCI cryogenic heat exchanger in Balhaf which was completed on Tuesday, 4 December 2007. The installation of this heat exchanger is a significant milestone achievement that comes in line with the project construction schedule. The main purpose of this unit is to liquefy gas by cooling it down from minus 30° degrees centigrade to minus 152° degrees.
