Marking progress in the construction of the Balhaf plant loading jetty, the second batch of jetty jackets arrived early September 2008. The second batch came from Aden where it was kept during the monsoon after its long journey from Muhibbah yard in Malaysia. It consisted of 4 Mooring Dolphins (MD1, MD2, MD3 & MD4) with their heights ranging from 35.5m to 49.9m.

The received jackets installation started on 11 September 2008 and is in progress. According to the implementation schedule, all jetty jackets should be installed and ready by the beginning of 2009.


The third and last batch of jetty jackets consisting of 4 Berthing Dolphins have also been kept in Aden during the monsoon and are to be brought in time for its installation.
