Marking the final stages of Jetty completion, two loading arms have been installed. The two-stage process comprised the installation of the risers/pedestal, which was completed on 21st of March 2009, and the installation of the loading arms, which is now in progress.


The installation of the 1st vapour/liquid and 2nd vapour loading arms took place on the 3rd & 6th April 2009 respectively while the third loading arm will be installed on 12th April 2009. The loading arms - 68 tonnes each - were lifted and installed on top of the erected risers by Muhibbah, the Malaysian company subcontracted for jetty construction.


Another 4th loading arm is planned to be installed in May 2009 as a back up loading arm after performing the necessary jetty loading platform extension.


It's worth mentioning that the overall progress on building the Yemen LNG Project has reached 92%. The project shareholders are TOTAL (Project Leader) (39.62%), Hunt Oil Company (17.22%), Yemen Gas Company (16.73%), SK Energy Co., Ltd. (9.55%), Korea Gas Corporation (6.00%), the General Authority for Social Security and Pensions of Yemen (5.00%) and Hyundai Corporation (5.88%).
