In the presence of the Yemen LNG Board members, the Company celebrated on Monday, 20 April 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey, the launch and naming of two tug boats which will be used to tow LNG tankers towards the Jetty on the Balhaf Bay.

At the ceremony, H.E. Minister of Oil and Minerals and Chairman of the Yemen LNG Board, Mr. Amir Salem Al-Aidarous, named the two tug boats ‘Lamnalco Sana’a’ and ‘Lamnalco Aden’. The first part of the name is the name of the Turkish company which built the tug boats and the second parts are named after the two most important cities in Yemen.


Lamnalco is currently building another two tug boats and that will bring the total number of tug boats to four. ‘Lamnalco Sana’a’ and ‘Lamnalco Aden’ are expected to arrive in Balhaf during the month of July 2009.
