In a bid to improve health services in project neighboring areas, Yemen LNG has signed a contract with the Yemeni Red Crescent and Shabwa Health Office to implement capacity building programs for male and female medical staff from four rural areas in Shabwa governorate. 



44 Participants, who include doctors, midwives, lab technicians, X-ray technicians and nurses, will receive academic training and capacity development in their fields of specializations. The training, which extends for a period of 30 months, will be conducted through specialized local institutes and universities.



The training programs, worth US$ 285,000, will have positive outcomes on the communities, with about 22,000 locals benefiting from improved health care services in the districts of Rudhoom, Al Rawdha, Jardan and Mayfaa in Shabwa.
