Yemen LNG Company is pleased to invite candidates from the Governorates of Marib and Shabwa to apply to join the Vocational and Technical Training and / or the undergraduate Engineering and Medicine scholarships.
80 Scholarships in Vocational and Technical Training in the Year 2012:
Candidates successfully selected in a competitive basis will attend a 2-year training program in the Vocational and Technical Institute of Al-Mukallah in the below fields:
- Furniture Carpentry
- Light Vehicles Mechanics
- House Wiring Electricity
- Welding and Milling Machines
- Computer Programing
- Industrial Electronic Control
- General Electricity
- Hydraulic and Nomadic System
- Land Surveying & Roads
- Cooling
- Turnery
Interested candidates must:
- Be residents of Mareb or Shabwa governorates; (particularly Jardan, Rodhoom, Al-Rawdah and Maifa’ah districts in Shabwa)
- Have completed high school during the past two years with a grade average of more than 70%, science section
- Pass the Institute’s admission test
The application should include:
- A copy of the ID card
- A copy of the high school certificate, science section
80 University Scholarships in Engineering and Medicine studies in the year 2012:
Candidates successfully selected in a competitive basis will attend a 4-year scholarship in a Yemeni university in one of the below majors:
Interested candidates must:
- Be residents of Mareb or Shabwa governorates; (particularly Jardan, Rodhoom, Al-Rawdah and Maifa’ah districts in Shabwa)
- Have completed high school during the past two years with an average grade of more than 80%, science section
- Obtain Admission from university

How to apply to these programs:
The application form can be downloaded here, or picked up from the education offices of Marib and Shabwa. The application, to any of the above programs, along with the required documents listed above should be submitted in a sealed envelope no later than 30 September 2012 to either of the following:

- Or delivered to one of Yemen LNG community representatives listed in the application form, or to Yemen LNG Visitors Center in Balhaf

Selection Process
Pocessing the applications as well as the selection process will be managed by Yemen LNG in liaison with the offices of education in the governorates of Marib & Shabwa. Scholarships will be awarded based on merits and gender diversity and location of residence.
