Yemen LNG at Yemen’s First National Human Rights Conference

Yemen LNG was invited by the Ministry of Human Rights to highlight during Yemen’s First National Human Rights Conference, the Company’s corporate social responsibility.


Yemen LNG paper, titled “Applying the Principles of Corporate Social Responsibility and Achieving Partnership with the Yemeni Government in Support of Development Programs” – showcased a unique corporate experience about how a global partnership for development, with the right approach and good level of community involvement, can lead to delivering focused and transparent projects towards the development of the lives and welfare of the communities within which companies operate, and subsequently, strengthen the connection with communities.

The Conference, organized in Sana’a on 9th and 10th December 2012, was opened by HE the Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Basindwa and Human Rights Minister Dr. Houria Mash-hour, commemorating the 64th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Yemen LNG has regularly sponsored the Ministry of Human Rights in its initiatives for the social responsibility of the private sector and the reinforcement of the human rights.

Yemen LNG runs the largest social responsibility program in Yemen, building water, electricity, schools and medical infrastructure, promoting capacity building, fostering training and education, developing employment and small business that help communities to sustain their livelihoods and improve quality of life.

General Manager François Rafin and designate General Manager Jacques Azibert have met with the Minister of Human Rights and confirmed that Yemen LNG will continue the sponsorship of the projects of the Ministry of Human Rights in the future.
