Al-Saeeda TV channel broadcast on their prime program on Friday, 8:30 PM, “The Week in Review”, a three-minute reportage highlighting Yemen LNG sustainable development projects implemented in the village of Jela’ah and other surrounding coastal villages.
At the request of Yemen LNG, the reportage came in response to an earlier report produced by the same channel where locals from Jela’ah village claimed that Yemen LNG did not provide projects, jobs or compensate them for their fishing harbor in Balhaf.
The new reportage came out positive. It responded to claims on projects and labour. It also showed images of Yemen LNG electricity projects (generators, high voltage cable to coastal areas), the school, teachers’ accommodation, buses transferring students to remote schools, and Ain Bama’bad hospital which is under construction.
Al-Saeeda Channel is a privately owned TV station, headquartered in Cairo and broadcasts some of its programs from Yemen. The channel enjoys editorial independence. It features cultural, political and “people’s” issues and enjoys a large base of Yemeni viewers in and outside the country.
