The General Manager of Yemen LNG, Mr. Jacques Azibert, signed in Sana’a today a project agreement with the Shabwah Joint Cooperative Agriculture and Beekeeping Association, to support beekeeping and agriculture SME projects in the districts of Jardan, Mayfa’ah, Al-Rawdhah and Rudhom, Shabwah Governorate.

The project will be implemented over a duration of one year and will provide a series of capacity building programs and equipment to help beekeepers and farmers in target areas to establish their own businesses, increase their products and strengthen their business development skills.

General Manager Mr. Azibert, stated that, “this project, which Yemen LNG is implementing in partnership with local communities, will assist over 600 beekeepers and 15,000 farmers and will eventually help them to increase and improve their local products, such as honey and crop yields”.

The agreement was co-signed by Chairman of the Shabwah Joint Cooperative Agriculture and Beekeeping Association, Mr. Ahmad Saleh bin San’a.
