Yemen LNG inaugurated yesterday the Phase I of the coastal  water project for the neighboring community of Balhaf that includes Jela’a village and other villages. Project components include provision of potable water from the Reserve Osmosis Plant (ROP) within the Balhaf plant to the 5-kilometer far village of Jela’ah including the provision of the necessary infrastructure; about 13,000 meters of pipes and 35 m3 tank at Jela’ah village. Beneficiaries of the phase I project are estimated at about 1,500 people.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Yemen LNG General Manager, Governor of Shabwah, and the village committee.
