Yemen LNG environment concern is not only limited to Balhaf area, but also covers the neighboring areas and communities around Balhaf in the form of environmental improvement projects some of which have been conducted and the rest remains in process.
The Bir Ali Waste Management Project

Bir Ali is a small town located about 20 km east of Balhaf, where the management of waste was poor until the company decided to contribute to improving the quality of the environment of Bir Ali through implementing a phased waste management project for the town. The project elements include:

• A cleaning campaign of the entire town
• Implementing a waste management awareness campaign
• A detailed study and survey to produce an EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and design for a landfill.
• Construction of a domestic waste landfill.
